I was wanting to volunteer in the childbirth community next semester. I'm not certified in anything but was thinking that I would like to become a childbirth educator or a doula later on in life. Does anyone have any suggestions about volunteering optionsn to give me exposure to such an occupation?

Re: Volunteering Q's
Tue, December 30, 2008 - 4:01 PMI know that here in Seattle there is a group called PALS Doulas and one of the options you have to get experience and to help get your certification through them is volunteering with the University of Washington Hospital. You have to be a member of PALS to volunteer as a Doula at UW, but maybe there is an organization like that where you are. -
